     The Streets Ran Red is a great read.  I started reading it one evening before bed and that was a mistake.  I didn't get much sleep that night because I couldn't put the book down.  I have no experience in law enforcement or paramedic work, but now I've picked up some of their street talk.  I never realized the stress and tempo of the work.  Now I nod a thank you every time a speeding unit, alarm blaring, passes me by.  Morgan Lawrence has hooked me; can't wait for his next book.  I hope it's a series.
